What is Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is a malignant tumor evolving, as a rule, from a tissue of the prostate glands. As other malignant tumors, prostate cancer has a tendency towards the metastasizing (dissemination in an organism).

Prostate cancer happens with every seventh man older than 50 years of age. And, unfortunately, precisely this disease is one of the commonest causes of the death of elderly men.

The causes of the prostate cancer onset are not still found out to the end. However, the disease is really known to be associated with male sex testosterone hormone. The higher its level in the blood of the patient is, the more likely the development of his prostate cancer and the tumor will be more malignant.
