What is Lung Cancer

Lung cancer (bronchogenic cancer, bronchogenic carcinoma) is a malignant lung tumor originating from an epithelial different caliber bronchus tissue. Depending on a place of onset, it is subdivided into the central, peripheral and massive (mixed) ones.

Lung cancer is a serious medical and social problem; in the developed countries, it is the most often found malignant tumor and is the most prevalent cause of the death from oncological pathology.
