What is Cervical Cancer
Cervical cancer is a malignant tumor arising in the area of the uterine cervix. Its two main species are distinguished histologically: an adenocarcinoma and a squamous cell carcinoma. At present, the relationship of HPV morbidity rate and risk of cervical cancer development is considered proved.
The cervical cancer treatment is integrated, it can combine surgical treatment, a radial therapy and chemotherapy. It was considered earlier, that the combination of a surgical and a radial methods of therapy is the most effective treatment of cervical cancer.
